WITHDRAWALS; These must be made in writing by 29th March together with the appropriate Doctors or Vets certificate in order for Entry fees to be refunded (Less 50p to cover expenses) CLEAR ROUND Competitors must give way to faster horses or when requested by a Official. Failure to obey will occur elimination, but fast competitors must not overtake near a fence when the horse in front is committed to jump. Competitors are allowed 2 attempts at any fence. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL INCUR ELIMINATION. CLASSES - 1, 2, 3, & 5 The 3rd refusal at any jump will incur elimination and COMPETITORS MUST LEAVE THE COURSE IN ALL CLASSES FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH OFFICALS AUTOMATICALLY INCURS ELIMINATION. PLEASE NOTE: HATS WITH A FIXED PEAK WILL NOT BE ALLOWED CROSS COUNTRY GENERAL RULES The judges decision will be final including places in classes. Objections must be made in writing to the show secretary accompanied by a deposit of £5 within one hour of the alleged incident taking place. Should the objection be deemed to be frivolous or unfounded, the deposit shall be forfeited. The show committee reserves the right to cancel or promptly alter any class without stating a reason. No entry fee refunded unless the show or class is cancelled, in which case 70% will be refunded. STOP WATCHES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN ONE DAY EVENTS. IT WILL STILL BE PERMITTED IN 2/3 DAY EVENTS FOR NOVICE AND OPEN. HATS Everyone whether a competitor or not when mounted, must wear protective headwear which includes a permanently fitted, non detachable retaining harness secured to the shell at more than two points. FIXED PEAKS ON HATS ARE NOT PERMITTED. BRC recommends PAS015 which provides the greatest protection. All hats prefixed Se1 or ASTM are acceptable. The new minimum standard will be EN1384. The committees decision shall be final regarding all other matters. BACK PROTECTORS All cross country competitors must wear protectors to the Beta standard. Level 3 & worn according to the manufacturers instructions. LEGAL LIABILITY Neither the club or any persons acting on its behalf will accept liability for any loss, damage or illness to ponies, horses, riders, spectators or any person. Dogs must be held on a leash at all times. All vehicles are parked at the owners risk. The organisers of this event have taken reasonable PRECAUTIONS TO ENSURE THE HEALTH & SAFETY OF EVERYONE PRESENT. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid & prevent accidents occurring & must obey the instructions of the organisers & all officials & stewards. NO CANTERING ON THE FIELD EXCEPT IN WARM UP AREAS.
